Sure, you "could" call the insurance company yourself to report the claim yourself if you'd like. You "can" also call their toll-free phone number any time you like BUT if you'd feel more comfortable, we'd like it very much if you'd allow us to serve as your liaison, your advocate and help you settle the claim.
Whether the claim is actually reported to your insurance company or its really someone else's fault, we're here to serve you -- we feel it's our job as your agent.
